IIT Kanpur Winter Internship & Visiting Researcher Program 2014

About Internship:

Knowledge Incubation for TEQIP, IIT Kanpur is pleased to announce Winter Internship and Visiting Researcher program 2014. This program is for PG students and faculty members of all TEQIP colleges under KIT, IIT Kanpur quality circle. This is a step towards encouraging research collaborations and student exchange with the colleges in Quality Circle assigned to IIT Kanpur. Under this program 10 students will be selected for internship and 10 faculty members will be selected for the visiting researcher program for a period of 3 Weeks (December 7 to 27, 2014).

Last date: October 31, 2014

The Winter Internship and Visiting Researcher Program is offered in all department of the institute.

Eligibility Criteria For Students :

This program is only for post graduate student (MSc., Masters and PhD.). They can apply in any department of their interest at IIT Kanpur.

How to apply:

All student applicants have to apply by sending us the following documents:

Letter of recommendation from the TEQIP coordinator of their institute.
Detailed CV with their CGPA/CPI
Application letter mentioning what department they prefer and their area of interest.

Please email all the above documents to [email protected]. Applicants are requested to send emails with subject: “KIT Winter Internship 2014“. The TEQIP office will process their application for the winter internship and inform them if selected. Please send your application latest by October 31, 2014.

Please note that KIT, IITK will take care of the following:

  •     Lodging and boarding at student hostel (based on the availability) for the period of stay.
  •     Reimbursement of travel expenses.
  •     Stationery and contingency expenses for R&D work may be covered based on recommendation of faculty under whom student will be working.

The Winter Internship and Visiting Researcher program is a step towards encouraging collaborations of researchers and students. Through this program, TEQIP aims to create opportunities for students and faculty members of QC institutes to learn new ideas and gain new interests in their field. This can also help in laying strong foundation of a very productive academic culture which can be beneficial for all.
