“Indian Statistical Institute” Research Internship Programme 2014

ISI (Indian Statistical Institute) Chennai invites applications from the eligible students for the “TWO MONTH SUMMER RESEARCH PROGRAMME- 2014” which will be held during May – July, 2014

This programme/Internship is aimed to motivate and help high ranking students, towards research in Statistics, Mathematics, SQC & OR, Computer Science, and Theoretical Physics. Selected students will be given an opportunity to work/discuss with the faculties at ISI Chennai.

Eligibility: Students in 3rd year Bachelor.s degree/ Ist year Master.s degree (within three ranks in the Class/University/Institution) are eligible to apply.

Instructions to the Students:

• Students are requested to look at the ‘areas of specialization’ of faculty members (Click here) before filling up the application form.
• Students are expected to attend the programme for at least six weeks.
• Selected students will be paid at the rate of Rs. 6000/- per month plus II Class Sleeper train fare by the shortest route, and no other expenses will be provided.
• Shared accommodation will be provided based on the availability. Students are expected to pay the charges for the accommodation, food, and others. Students from Chennai are not eligible to apply for accommodation at ISI Chennai.
• Filled in scanned copy of the application form along with a brief CV can be sent via email to “[email protected]” by writing the subject as “SRP-2014-(UNIT NAME)” (please write the unit name in the subject).
• Last date for submission of application is: April 20, 2014.
