Appstars 2014 Mobile Application Development Contest For Students

Appstars 2014 is a mobile app development contest launched by Trelleborg Sealing Solution. This Pan India contest provides opportunities for app developers, both for ios& Android Platforms, to win grand prizes and recognition for their creativity.

The participants can register themselves in any one of the two categories – (1) Professionals or (2) Students.

  • Professional Track – Working professionals can participate in this category where they can showcase their creativity through mobile app development in Industrial Engineering.
  • Student Track – All University and college students can participate in this category and develop mobile apps.

Contest Prizes –

 Prize Professional Students
Winner Prize INR 1, 50,000 INR 1,00,000
Runner Up Prize INR 75,000 INR 50,000

Important Dates:

    • 5th Feb 2014 – Registration Commences
    • 5th Apr 2014 – Registration Closes
    • 5th May 2014 – App Submissions Closed
    • 25th May 2014 – Final Presentation by Shortlisted Participants
    • Winners Announced.

Selection Criteria:

All Submitted Apps will be rated on predetermined assessment criteria by a competent team of judges comprising of Trelleborg and External personnel. The Assessment criteria shall revolve around:

      • Engineering App
      • Innovation and creativity
      • User Interface Design and overall user experience
      • Commercial appeal
      • Performance

Eligibility for Participation:

Appstars 2014 is a challenge of skill, open to individuals or a team (2 members) consisting of individuals who:

a) Are eighteen (18) years of age or older and the age of legal majority in his or her state or jurisdiction of primary residence at the time of submission;

b) Not an Employee of Trelleborg Sealing Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., and any of their group companies,
