About Staff Selection Commission SSC Junior Engineer JE Exam 2015 Civil , Mechanical , Electrical :
Staff Selection Commission SSC is conducting examination for the post of Junior Engineer (JE) in the department of Civil , Mechanical and Electrical. SSC will hold on 06-12-2015, an open competitive examination for recruitment of Junior Engineers, Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted posts in the Pay Band of Rs.9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay Rs.4200/-. The last date to apply online is 10th August 2015. There are tentatively 1000 vacancies to be filled as per the SSC JE recruitment advertisement.

Eligibility Criteria :
Educational Qualifications (As on 1st August 2015):
- Junior Engineer (Civil), CPWD : Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute.
- Junior Engineer(Electrical) CPWD : Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or Institute.
- Junior Engineer (Civil), Department of Posts : Three years Diploma or equivalent in Civil Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government.
- Junior Engineer(Electrical) Department of Posts : Three years Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering from an institution recognized by the Central Government or State Government.
- Junior Engineer (Civil), MES : Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University OR I)Three years Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute or University or Board; and (II) Two years experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Civil Engineering works.
- Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical), MES : Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University; OR (I) Three years diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized Institute or University or Board; and (II) Two years experience in Planning, Execution and Maintenance of Electrical or Mechanical Engineering works.
- Junior Engineer(QS&C) MES : 3 years Diploma in Civil engineering from a recognised institute/University/Board or equivalent; OR (ii) Passed Intermediate examination in Building and Quantity Surveying Sub Divisional -II of the institute of Surveyors (India).
- Junior Engineer (Civil and Mechanical), Central Water Commission : Degree or Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised University or Institution
Age Limit (As on 1st August 2015) :
- Central Water Commission Junior Engineer(Civil) : Upto 32 years
- Central Water Commission Junior Engineer(Mech) : Upto 32 years
- CPWD Junior Engineer(Civil) : Not exceeding 32 years.
- CPWD Junior Engineer (Electrical) : Not exceeding 32 years
- Department of Post Junior Engineer(Civil) : 18-27 years
- Department of Post Junior Engineer (Electrical) : 18-27 years
- MES Junior Engineer(Civil) : Not exceeding 30 years.
- MES Junior Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical) : Not exceeding 30 years.
- MES Junior Engineer(Surveying and Contract) : 18-27 years

Selection Process :
1. Written Examination (500 Marks) :
Written examination consist of two papers : Paper – 1 and Paper -2. Paper -1 (200 marks) would be objective type multiple choice questions and Paper -2 (300 marks) would be conventional type.
