About SSC CHSL Recruitment 2017 :
SSC CHSL examination is held every year for the candidates who have passed 10+2 Intermediate examination across India. For the recruitment period of 2017-18 Online Examination is scheduled to be held from 04 Mar 2018 to 26 Mar 2018.

- Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant PB -1(Rs. 5200-20200) Grade Pay 2400 (pre-revised) : Entry Level Pay without allowances is Rs 25500 per month
- Data Entry Operator : Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 2400 (pre-revised) : Entry Level Pay without allowances is Rs 25500 per month
- Data Entry Operator, Grade-A : Pay Band-1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 2400 (pre-revised) : Entry Level Pay without allowances is Rs 25500 per month
- Lower Division Clerk/Junior Secretariat Assistant: Pay Band -1 (Rs. 5200-20200), Grade Pay Rs. 1900 (pre-revised) : Entry Level Pay without allowances is Rs 19900 per month
No of Vacancies : 3259 Vacancies {Tentative vacancies for the posts of LDC/JSA, Postal Assistant / Sorting Assistant and DEO are 898, 2359, 2 and DEO Grade A – Nil, respectively.}
Eligibility Criteria :
Age Limit : 18-27 years as on 01.08.2018 (Candidates born not before 02-08-1991 and not later than 01-08-2000)
Educational Qualification (as on 1 Aug 2018) :
- Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board
or University. - For Data Entry Operator in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India
(C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a
recognized Board or equivalent.
- Online Test: 200 Marks : 100 Questions : 25 Questions with each containing 2 marks from General Intelligence , English , Quantitative and General Awareness.
- Descriptive Test ( Pen & Paper Mode ) : 100 Marks ( Letter Writing 50 Marks and Essay Writing 50 Marks ) Shortlisted candidates from Online Test will be only eligible to attend Descriptive Test.
- Typing Skill Test (Only Qualifying)
- Final Merit will be prepared based on marks secured in Online Test and Descriptive Test provided qualifying the Typing Skill Test.
