Revised Scheme of Combined Graduate Level Examination 2016 :
The Staff Selection Commission SSC – www.ssc.nic.in – has decided to reduce the Number of Questions from 200 to 100 in Tier-I of the above Examination which would continue to carry 200 marks. The duration of the Tier-I examination would be for a period of 75 minutes. It has also been decided to conduct the Tier-I and Tier-II in computer based examination mode in place of OMR based examination mode. Tier-I is scheduled to be held from 27th August, 2016.
Tier – 1 Paper Pattern :
Negative marking of 0.5 per wrong answers.
Tier – 2 Paper Patter : Computer Based and follows the same paper pattern as before.
- Mathematics – 200 marks – 100 questions – 2 hours duration. Negative marking – 0.5 per wrong answers
- English – 200 marks – 200 questions – 2 hours duration. Negative marking – 0.25 per wrong answers.
Tier – 3 Paper Pattern :
- Pen and Paper mode
- Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi (writing of Essay/Precis/Letter /Application Writing etc.
- Total marks 100
- Duration : 60 minutes
Tier – 4 (wherever applicable) : Data Entry Skill Test (DEST) / Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) – Only Qualifying
Final Merit : Tier 1 + Tier 2 + Tier 3
Important Note : The final merit will be prepared on overall performance in Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III. However, the candidate will need to qualify all the tiers i.e. Tier-I, Tier-II and Tier-III separately. There will be no sectional cut-off.
