HPCL has issued a notification to invite eligible Engineering Graduates in specified disciplines.
Candidates those interested are requested to appear for GATE 2014 in their respective engineering disciplines as below:
1. Mechanical
2. Civil
3. Electrical
4. Electronics & Communication and
5. Instrumentation
Engineers having Degree in the following will not be eligible to apply
Production Engg, Mechatronics, Automobile Engg, Industrial Engg, Construction Engg , Power Engg .
Age Limit
For general category, candidates should not exceed 25 years of age as on 30th June 2014.
For OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) , age relaxation will be applicable as per directives.
For SC/ST/PWD, age relaxation will be applicable as per directives.
Educational Qualification
Candidates should qualify degree examination in engineering/technology in the above mentioned disciplines from a recognized Indian universities/institutes.
Students from General/OBC-NC category should have obtained minimum 60% marks in degree examination.
SC/ST/PwD candidates – 50 %
Candidates who are in their final year of engineering can also apply only on a condition if the selected candidates can produce their final mark sheet by 31st August, 2014.
Candidates should also note that only GATE-2014 score is considered as valid for this recruitment exercise and
GATE score of 2013 or that of previous years will be regarded as not valid.
Selection
Candidates will be selected on the basis of GATE-2014 score /marks which will also be followed by Group Discussion / Tasks and Personal interview.
While 85% weightage will be given to GATE 2014 marks, 15% weightage will be given to Group Discussion / Tasks and Personal interview.
Candidates will have to qualify each stage for selection.
Selected candidates will be posted to any division or unit or subsidiary company or office of the corporation.
Pay Scale
Training/ Remuneration: Selected candidates will be undergoing training for six months with a stipend of (Officer Trainees) Rs. 33,000/ per month.
On successful completion of training, candidates will be paid Rs 24, 900 to Rs 50, 500 / per month.
