Role Overview
The Finance & Statutory Accounting Intern will support Dow’s India F&S Accounting team by assisting with financial reporting, accounting operations, and audit-related activities.
Interns will gain exposure to financial statement preparation, balance sheet reconciliation, tax reporting, internal controls, and accounting standards, while working with experienced finance leaders.
This internship is designed to provide practical exposure to real corporate accounting operations in a multinational environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Assist the Entity Accounting Leader with daily accounting operations
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation using BlackLine
• Conduct monthly financial flux analysis and variance explanations
• Prepare schedules for quarterly and year-end reporting
• Assist in preparing financial statements according to Indian GAAP
• Support statutory audits and internal control monitoring
• Assist the tax team with tax reports and audit requirements
• Provide support to the CPAM team for fixed asset accounting tasks
Eligibility Criteria
• Candidates must belong to the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)
• Must have completed at least 12 months of articled training
• Master’s degree (preferred but not mandatory)
• Strong interest in corporate finance and accounting operations
Skills Required
• Knowledge of Ind AS accounting standards
• Understanding of US GAAP (preferred)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a process-driven and detail-oriented environment
