About CRIS :
Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), an autonomous organization of the Ministry of Railways, is the IT wing of the Indian Railways with state-of-the-art infrastructure at New Delhi and having regional data centers at New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Secunderabad, Kolkata, Patna and Gorakhpur. CRIS is engaged in the development, implementation and maintenance of many major computer applications, including the renowned computerized Passenger Reservation System(PRS) and Freight Operations System(FOIS) of Indian Railways.
CRIS would be recruiting about 55 Engineers (40 Asst Software Engineers and 15 Asst Network Engineers).
Selection would be based on the Score obtained in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2014 conducted by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

Eligibility Criteria:
- B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering or Computer Science or Computer Technology or Information Technology or Computer Applications, or MCA or B.Sc (Computer Science and Engineering – 4 Year degree course).
- Relevant Degree from an AICTE / UGC recognized institute, or equivalent qualifications as per Govt, of India rules, with min. 60% marks or equivalent CGPA (55% for SC/ST/PWD candidates); and GATE Scores as specified.

Selection Process:
The GATE 2014 Score would be considered for placing the candidates in order of merit (in case two candidates have the same GATE 2014 score, then the one with the higher All India Rank would be placed higher in the order of merit; in case two candidates have the same GATE 2014 score and All India Rank, then the one with the earlier date of birth would be placed higher in the order of merit. In case of tie in date of birth also, candidate with higher marks/percentage in the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the order of merit). Candidates will be considered in this order of merit only.
