UPSC www.upsc.gov.in invites online application for Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination 2 2015. It is the recruitment process of induction into all three wings of defence services in India. It is compulsory to have graduation degree for this post. It has two types of commissions: Permanent and Short Service. Short Service Commission Training held at Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai. IMA training at Dehradun, Indian Naval Academy at Ezhimala, Kerala and Air Force Academy at Hyderabad. The examination date for UPSC www.upsc.gov.in CDS-2 2015 Examination is 1 November 2015.

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Recruitment 2015 for the CDS 2 Written Examination – 2015 for 463 various vacancies: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited application recruit and appoint the applicants under the Combined Defense Services (CDS-2) Examination (II) – 2015. The last date to apply for CDS 2 2015 exam is 14th August 2015 till 11:59 PM. Candidates must be physically fit and mentally strong to be the part of Indian Defence Force.

Eligibility Criteria :
The UPSC www.upsc.gov.in CDS-2 2015 is meant only to be registered by the graduates, for these the eligibility criteria is as under:-
Age Limit (As on 1st July 2016)
For Naval Academy :
- Qualification : Degree in Engineering from a recognized university/ institute.
- Age Limit : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1992 and not later than 1st July, 1997 only are eligible.
For Air Force Academy:
- Qualification: Degree of recognized university (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 Level) or Bachelor’s of Engineering.
- Age: 20 to 24 Years as on 1st July, 2016 i.e. born not earlier than 02 July, 1992 and
not later than 01 July, 1996 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 Yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 02 July, 1990 and not later than 01 July 1996) only are eligible.
For Indian Military Academy/ Officers Training Academy
- Qualification: To apply for this course, the candidates required a graduation degree/bachelor degree in any subject.
- Age Limit : Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 1992 and not later than 1st July, 1997 only are eligible
- Qualification : Degree of a recognised University or equivalent
- Age Limit : Male candidates (married or unmarried) born not earlier than 2nd July, 1991 and not later than 1st July, 1997 only are eligible.
- Qualification : Degree of a recognised University or equivalent
- Age Limit : Unmarried Women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issue less divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1991 and not later than 1st July, 1997
Note: Candidates who are studying in the final year/ semester Degree course and have yet to pass the final year degree examination can also apply provided candidate should not have any present backlog upto the last semester/year for which results have been declared upto the time of submission of application and they will be required to submit proof of passing the degree examination at the time of SSB to reach the Army HQ/Rtg. CDSE Entry, West Block III, R.K. Puram, New
Physical Standard: The candidates should also fit according to the norms fixed by the commission. The admission is only possible if the candidates physically fit.
Application Fee :
The application fee is Rs 200/- Only for General and OBC candidates whereas SC/ST/Female candidates need not to pay any application fee. Eligible candidates can submit the application fee through the net-banking or through cash.
Selection Procedure :
Eligible candidates will selected on evaluating candidate’s performance in the written examination and Interview/Personality Test. Candidates who qualify the written exam will be called for the next round of recruitment process, i.e. Interview/ Personality Test.
