“National Green Tribunal” Internship For Law Graduates 2014

About National Green Tribunal (NGT):
The National Green Tribunal has been established on 18.10.2010 under the National Green Tribunal Act 2010 for effective and expeditious disposal of cases relating to environmental protection and conservation of forests and other natural resources including enforcement of any legal right relating to environment and giving relief and compensation for damages to persons and property and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. It is a specialized body equipped with the necessary expertise to handle environmental disputes involving multi-disciplinary issues. The Tribunal shall not be bound by the procedure laid down under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908, but shall be guided by principles of natural justice.
National Green Tribunal has its Principal Bench at Delhi with three Zonal Benches functioning from Chennai, Bhopal and Pune. National Green Tribunal is considering to engage law clerks and law intern in each of its Bench.The Law Clerk needs to be a law graduate and Law Interns will be a student pursuing the law degree course.The National Green Tribunal proposes to engage law clerks and law interns to be provided at each bench.Website: http://www.greentribunal.gov.in

Stipend: 25,000 per month

Application Deadline: 31st March 2014

Eligibility Criteria:

The law Clerk should be a law graduate from a recognized university

The law intern will be a student pursuing the law degree course.

Applications are invited for engagement as law clerks and law interns at the NGT. Principal Bench and its zonal Benches, initially, for a period of one year. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview on a date to be intimated later.
