Eligibility Criteria :

Branch , Educational Qualifications & Age Limits :

  1. General Duty – Only Male & General Duty (SSA) – Female
    1. Should hold a Bachelor’s degree of recognised university with minimum 60% marks in aggregate (ie. 1 st Semester to 8th Semester for BE/B.Tech or 1st year to last year for Bachelor Degree Candidates wherever applicable). Mathematics and Physics as subjects up to intermediate or class XII of 10+2+3 scheme of education or equivalent with 60% aggregate marks in Maths & Physics [Candidates not in possession of Physics & Maths in 10 + 2 (Intermediate) level or equivalent are not eligible for General Duty (GD) & General Duty (SSA)].
    2. Age Limit : Born between 01 Jul 1994 to 30 Jun 1998 (Both dates inclusive).
  2. Commercial Pilot Entry (CPL) (SSA): Both Male and Female
    1. Candidates holding current /valid Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) issued/ validated by Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Minimum educational qualification – XIIth pass (Physics and Mathematics)with 60% marks in aggregate
    2. Age Limit : Born between 01 Jul 1994 to 30 Jun 2000 (Both dates inclusive).
  3. Law : Both Male and Female
    1. A degree in Law with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university. (Three years degree in law after graduation or Five years after 10+2 examination).
    2. Age Limit : Born between 01 Jul 1994 to 30 Jun 1998 (Both dates inclusive).

Selection Procedure :

After successfully shortlisting of applications, candidates have to go into two stages of selection.

Stage – I : Preliminary Selection

Shortlisted candidates will be called for Preliminary Selection at given date and time which will consist of Mental Ability Test/ Cognitive Aptitude Test and Picture Perception & Discussion Test (PP&DT). The aptitude test will be in English only and will be objective type. During PP&DT the candidates are expected to speak and discuss in English. However they are free to speak in Hindi if they wish to do so. Date/ time and venue of Preliminary Selection once allotted will not be changed at any stage.

Stage – II : Final Selection Board

The candidates qualifying above Preliminary Selection will be called for Final Selection. The date and venue for Final Selection Board (FSB) will be uploaded on Indian Coast Guard website . The Final Selection will consist of Psychological Test, Group Task and Interview (Personality test).

Important Dates :

  • Date of opening online application will be : 18 Nov 2018 from 0001 Hrs.
  • Date of closing online application will be: 30 Nov 2018 upto 1700 Hrs.
  • Admit card will be available for print from 09 Dec 2018 onwards.
  • Schedule for Preliminary Selection Examination. Candidates to reach the allotted centre at least 30 minutes prior to starting of Exam. The Preliminary Selection will be conducted tentatively from 17 Dec 2018 to 17 Jan 2019
