The recruitment covers 52 vacancies for eligible Indian Nationals with the required GATE 2027 qualification and engineering degree. Eligibility Criteria
GATE 2027: Candidates desirous of applying shall appear in the corresponding paper of GATE-2027 and qualify the same. Candidates for Executive Trainee (Electrical) must appear in Electrical Engineering (EE), while candidates for Executive Trainee (Computer Science) must appear in Computer Science and Information Technology (CS). The qualifying marks shall be as declared by GATE-2027 Organizing Institute.
Educational Qualification: Full Time Regular Course in B. E. /B. Tech/ B. Sc (Engg.)/ IDD (Integrated Dual Degree) from recognized University/ Institute; Electrical/ Electrical (Power)/ Electrical and Electronics/ Power Systems Engineering/ Power Engineering (Electrical) for Executive Trainee (Electrical); Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology for Executive Trainee (Computer Science); Minimum 65% or Equivalent CGPA.
Final Year / Semester students who expect their final results by 14.08.2027 are also eligible, provided they have obtained 65% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all semesters/ years up to pre-final examination in bachelor’s degree/ IDD (Integrated Dual Degree).
Age Limit: The upper age limit is 28 years as on 31.07.2027. Candidates should have been born on or after 01.08.1999.

Reservation/ relaxation/ concession to OBC-NCL/ SC/ ST/ EWS/ PwBD/ Ex–SM/ Victims of riots shall be as per Government of India directives. Persons suffering from not less than 40% of the relevant benchmark disability shall only be eligible for the benefit for PwBD.
Application Fee
- Application fee: Rs. 500/-.
- The fee is non-refundable and must be paid through online mode only.
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
- Only on submission of the application fee, where applicable, will the application process be treated as complete.
Selection Process
- Marks obtained out of 100 in the corresponding paper of GATE-2027.
- Group Discussion (GD).
- Personal Interview (PI).
- Behavioral Assessment may also be conducted for candidates shortlisted for GD and PI. Its results will be used only as an input during the interview and it will have no qualifying marks.
- Candidates must appear in all the selection processes and qualify in the Personal Interview for final shortlisting.
- The final score will carry weightage of GATE-2027 Marks: 85%, Group Discussion: 3%, and Personal Interview: 12%.
- Selected candidates will be subject to a Pre-Employment Medical Examination as per GRID-INDIA’s Norms and Standards of Medical Fitness.
The qualifying percentage in the interview is 40% for Unreserved candidates, 40% for EWS candidates for posts reserved for the corresponding category, and 30% for OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwBD candidates for posts reserved for the corresponding category.
Important Dates
- Notification date: 16.09.2026.
- Date of commencement of online submission of application: Will be notified after declaration of GATE 2027 results.
- The application window will be opened after declaration of GATE-2027 results by the Organizing Institute, and a separate notification will be issued on the GRID-INDIA website.
How to Apply
- Appear in and qualify the Electrical Engineering (EE) paper or Computer Science and Information Technology (CS) paper of GATE-2027.
- After declaration of GATE-2027 results, register online at the GRID-INDIA website through the careers section when the application window opens.
- Enter the GATE-2027 Application Number, GATE-2027 Registration Number, GATE-2027 Score and other required information.
- Log in to the candidate login section and complete the online application form.
- Deposit the non-refundable application fee of Rs. 500/- through online mode only, if applicable.
- Check the official notification for the complete eligibility, reservation, document and application instructions.
- Do not send any hard copy of the application to GRID-INDIA.
- Keep the GATE-2027 application form, GATE-2027 Admit Card and GATE-2027 Score Card for verification at the time of Group Discussion, Personal Interview or joining at GRID-INDIA.
