Role Overview
The Junior Assistant – Mechanical will support pipeline engineering work for metering and regulator stations, compressor stations and other projects handled by the T&D Global Practice. The role combines engineering analysis, design documentation, software-based modelling and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support pipe stress analysis for pipeline systems and related facilities.
- Prepare engineering deliverables for projects involving metering, regulator and compressor stations.
- Use stress analysis software and 3D modelling tools during the design process.
- Review vendor drawings and incorporate relevant information into project work.
- Coordinate design inputs with multidisciplinary engineering teams and clients.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
- The opening is for the 2027 batch.
- This is an entry-level, full-time opportunity.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform pipe stress analysis in line with ASME B31.3 and ASME B31.8 requirements.
- Produce accurate pipe stress analysis reports and other engineering deliverables.
- Apply stress analysis software to work connected with metering and regulator stations.
- Carry out analysis and design support for compressor station projects.
- Work with pipe materials and pipe design information while developing engineering outputs.
- Review vendor drawings for technical accuracy and coordination with project requirements.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams to resolve engineering inputs and interfaces.
- Communicate with clients and contribute to project-related discussions.
- Travel to the United States when project requirements call for it.
- Take on increased engineering design responsibilities as capability develops.
Skills Required
- Knowledge of pipe stress analysis as per B31.3 and B31.8.
