Eligibility Criteria
Nationality and age: Only Indian Nationals of age 18 years or above are eligible to apply. The upper age limit is 28 years as on 31.03.2027.
Valid GATE-2027 score: Candidates should have appeared in the corresponding paper of GATE 2027 and qualified in the same. The qualifying marks shall be as declared by the GATE 2027 Organizing Body.

Candidates having qualification degree from a discipline other than those as mentioned above are not eligible to apply. Final Year / Semester students who expect their final results by 31.08.2027 are also eligible to apply, provided they have obtained minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate of all semesters/years up to pre-final examination.

Reservation, relaxation and concession for OBC (NCL), SC, ST, EWS, PwBD, Ex-SM and victims of riots will be as per Government of India directives. The qualifying marks in the essential qualification are relaxed to pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD candidates for posts reserved for the respective category/PwBD Category as per the final detailed advertisement.
Application Fee
- General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates: Rs. 500/-.
- SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-SM/Departmental candidates are exempted from payment of application fees.
- The non-refundable application fee must be deposited through online mode only. The application process will be treated as complete on submission of the application fee.
Selection Process
Recruitment will be through GATE-2027. The notification states that details of the selection process will be indicated in a separate notification to be published on the POWERGRID website before commencement of online registration.
