IIT Delhi is the organising institute for GATE 2020. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology. GATE 2020 will be conducted for 25 subjects (also referred to as “papers”) and it would be distributed over 1st, 2nd, 8th & 9th of February 2020. The GATE examination centres are spread in different cities across India, as well as, in six cities outside India. The examination would be purely a Computer Based Test (CBT).

Eligibility Criteria for GATE 2020 Examination:

• Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/Technology/M. Sc./M.A./MCA or equivalent (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after B.Sc./Diploma in Engineering/Technology)
• Currently in the final year or already completed

How to apply online for GATE 2020 Examination?

The applicants of GATE 2020 can get themselves registered by filing the GATE application form. Here is the process of registration.

• Visit to http://gate.iitd.ac.in (Official website of gate) also known as GOAPS.
• Create login details by giving valid email id, phone number and password. Make sure to remember the email id and password as it will be used for further communication.
• Login to GOAPS using the details of GATE application form one by one. Recheck everything twice to avoid rejection or further re-edits.
• Upload necessary documents such as photographs and signature. (The format is .jpeg for images)
• After filling the form completely do the payment of requisite fees by clicking on make payment button.
• Download the application form or take a print out of the same for future.

Application Fees For Gate 2020 Exam

• The fee of GATE 2020 for SC/SC is 750 Rs.
• The fee of GATE 2020 for other candidates that is general category is 1500Rs.
• The fee of GATE 2020 for centers outside India is 100$.
