GATE 2015 | Practice Mock Test Papers

About GATE 2015 Exam Practice Papers:

GATE Exam scheduled has been announced for all Regions across India. GATE 2015 examinations will be held during forenoon and afternoon sessions on alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday) between 31st January 2015 and 8th February 2015. Examination for some of the papers in GATE 2015 will be held in multiple sessions. GATE previous year papers will be very useful for the preparation of GATE Exam.

Previous year questions papers with answers keys are available to download on its official website. Previous year question papers & Answer Keys for GATE 2013, GATE 2012, GATE 2011 exam papers are also available for download on GATE website.

Negative Marking for Wrong Answers

For a wrong answer chosen for the multiple choice questions, there would be negative marking. For 1-mark multiple choice questions, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. Likewise, for 2-mark multiple choice questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. However, there is no negative marking for a wrong answer in numerical answer type questions.

Pattern of Question Papers:

In all the papers, there will be a total of 65 questions carrying 100 marks, out of which 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks are in General Aptitude (GA).

Guidelines For Online Mock Test Papers:

Candidates can now practice GATE papers online by clicking on the relevant links for Mock Test given below. It may be noted that:

  1. This facility is provided ONLY for the sake of practice so that the candidates appearing for the GATE 2014 Examination become familiar with the process of the GATE online examination.
  2. The mock test papers are based on previous years’ question papers or dummy papers. It is needless to mention that the actual content of GATE 2014 question papers will be completely different from the content of the Mock Test papers that appear here.
  3. Please use Internet Explorer 7.0/8.0/9.0 on Windows XP/7. Once a link is clicked, a login page with login and password fields appear. However, these are dummy and one can go to the test by clicking “Sign in”.
  4. Please note that the responses that you click are not recorded and no score will be generated. You can terminate the mock test at any time. The submit button will be in “disable mode”.
