Eligibility Criteria :

Education Qualifications (As on 01.07.2015 OR Date of submission of application) :

Mandatory for All : Thorough knowledge of Hindi in Devanagari script. If the candidate has not passed High School or equivalent examination in Hindi , he/she has to clear the exam conducted by the Registrar, Departmental Examinations Government of UP , within 3 years of joining.

Executive Positions :

Assistant Engineer (E & M ) : Degree in Telecommunication/ Instrumentation/ Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electronics Engineering from any recognized University / Institution

Assistant Engineer ( Civil ) : Degree in Civil Engineering from any recognized University / Institution

Non Executive Positions :

Junior Engineer (E & M ) : 3 years Diploma examination Electrical/ Mechanical/ Electronics Engineering / Control & Instrumentation / Instrumentation Engineering from any recognized University / Institution

Junior Engineer (Civil) : 3 years Diploma examination Civil Engineering from any recognized University / Institution

Age Limit (As on 01.07.2015) :

• Candidate age should be between 21-40 years for Executive (Assistant Engineer (Trainee) ) &
• Candidate age should be between 18-40 years for Non-Executive posts (Junior Engineer (Trainee)) .

Selection Process :

• Written Test – Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • The test shall be of objective type total 200 marks and shall comprise of 200 questions
  • Out of which 150 questions shall be from the Degree / Diploma level Engineering
    branch syllabus for the post applied, 20 questions of General Knowledge / Awareness, 20 questions of Reasoning and 10 questions of General Hindi.
  • Each correct answer shall carry one mark each and each wrong answer shall carrry negative mark of 0.25.
  • General / OBC candidates needs to secure minimum 33% marks and minimum 28% marks to be secured by SC / ST candidates.
• Interview
  • No of candidates shortlisted for interview will be 3 times the number of vacancies
  • Interview will carry 25 marks.
