Role Overview
The Associate DevOps Engineer supports internal clients and platform specialists in converting business requirements into software designs and working solutions. The role covers the software lifecycle from requirements analysis and coding support to testing, deployment, production support and continuous improvement.
- Consult with internal clients about less complex software technology environments.
- Translate business and user requirements into technology terms, algorithms and programming solutions.
- Design, test, implement and maintain software code for specific computer-system tasks.
- Support application development, installation, deployment and implementation in production environments.
- Help maintain code sets and implementations in line with defined service-level agreements.
Eligibility & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities
- Work with Platform Specialists to understand detailed business and user requirements.
- Assist in preparing technical requirements documents, systems documentation and flowcharts.
- Analyse business requirements and help ensure that proposed solutions meet them.
- Support the conversion of detailed requirements into complete systems design documents.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications for developers and IT programmers.
- Document development procedures for application use and security throughout the development phase.
- Examine programme errors in logic and data, recommend corrections and escalate issues when required.
- Assist the relevant teams with application installation and deployment.
- Support preparation for solution implementation and help implement solutions in production.
- Maintain production code sets and implementations according to defined service-level agreements.
- Write and distribute task descriptions for operating and maintaining implemented solutions.
- Contribute to other related tasks required for software development and support.
Skills Required
- Entry-level knowledge of multi-technology application design best practices.
- Understanding of application environments, including hardware platforms, applications, databases, operating systems and storage.
- Technical understanding of software development and platform engineering.
