About the Internship Role
The selected intern will support the Archway project, which focuses on evaluating and optimizing compute-as-a-service solutions in mobile and network-constrained environments.
Interns will work on real engineering and research problems involving stress testing, benchmarking, traffic analysis, and performance optimization for compute platforms used in mobile ecosystems.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualcomm is looking for students who meet the following requirements:
- Pre-final year B.Tech students (minimum 3 months availability)
- M.Tech / MS / ME students or PhD scholars (minimum 6 months availability)
- Students from premier institutes in relevant engineering streams
- Strong interest in computer science, systems, and networking research
Key Responsibilities
- Stress test and benchmark compute-as-a-service solutions under different network conditions
- Define test setups, benchmarking frameworks, and performance KPIs
- Evaluate compute platforms for mobile and edge environments
- Study and identify traffic patterns for compute-intensive applications
- Analyze how to optimize applications and network stacks for mobile compute services
- Support research, experimentation, and documentation activities

Required Skills
- Background in Computer Science or related engineering field
- Understanding of virtualization and networking concepts
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments (including Linux networking)
- Working knowledge of Python
