About Cisco iCode Hackathon Challenge for 2016 & 2017 Batch  :

Cisco is organizing iCode Hackathon challenge for 3rd and 4th year engineering graduates across India. The interested candidates need to sign up for the challenge by 15th August 2015.  This challenge includes Internship opportunity for top 20 coders with Cisco along with cash prizes. This challenge is organized in collaboration with hackerrank.com .

Description of Cisco iCode Hackathon :

Eligibility Criteria :

  • 3rd and 4th year Engineering students (Any Branch)
  • Final Year ME/MTech students (Any Branch) : qualifies for 6 months internships

Challenge :

Cisco is proud to announce the launch of iCode, the ultimate Hackathon that provides a platform to 3rd year and 4th year engineering students across 40 colleges in India, to prove their programming aptitude. iCode will test and reward programming skills through a multi-phase contest.

Phase 1

August 23rd, 2015 ( 9 AM to 8 PM )

This is an online preliminary coding round which you can take from your respective location. You will get to solve a set of 5 code challenges.

Phase 2

Date: To Be Announced

Top rated contestants from Phase 1 will be invited to Cisco’s Bangalore Campus for the finale to fight for the ultimate glory. Travel will be sponsored by Cisco.

Prizes :

1st Place : 1,00,000 INR

2nd Place : 75,000 INR

3rd Place : 45,000 INR

First 20 Places : Gift voucher worth 5,000 INR

Additionally, the top coders from Phase 2 will qualify for a direct internship with Cisco in 2016.

Spring Internship :

Internship : Jan 2016 to Jul 2016
Duration : 5-6 Months

Summer Internship :

Internship : May 2016 to Jul 2016
Duration : 2-3 Months

Rules :

  • You must be in your 3rd year or 4th year to be eligible for this contest.
  • Each challenge has a predetermined score.
  • Your code will be scored based on the number of test case it passes.
  • Your total score is determined by the sum of maximum scores for each attempted problem.
  • All participants are ranked according to their scores. Ties will be resolved by last successful submission time.
  • You can code directly on the website. The system supports 36 programming languages. You can take a look at the environment in which your code is executed.
  • Plagiarism will not be tolerated and will result in immediate disqualification.
  • The decisions of HackerRank administrators will be final.
